The art to illustrate books for children will be today the center of debates called by the Jose Marti Cultural Society, on occasion of the 23rd International Book Fair, FIL 2014.

Also on the list is a colloquium about literature for younger people in Ecuador and another one about Nicolas Guillen and the Ecuadorian black poetry.


On the other hand, the Dulce Maria Loynaz Cultural Center expects to hold a panel entitled "Literature for children and youth in Latin America.

A lecture about the Ecuadorian novel as a gender and the presentation of Turkish editors at a meeting with Cuban audience and experts will take place at San Carlos de la Cabaña Fortress in Havana, main venue of the Fair.

The Guayasamin House-Museum will receive storytellers from Colombia and Ecuador for narrative readings, while the University of Havana will hold a space "Conversar con el otro" (Talking with another one), in the presence of intellectuals Javier Vasconez (Ecuador) and Jesus David Curvelo (Cuba).

The book fair will conclude on Feb. 23 in Havana, to start its tour nationwide.
