Lebanese Condemn Abuses of Cuban Five
The abuses by U.S. criminal authorities against five Cuban antiterrorist fighters were condemned today in this capital by the Lebanese Committee of Solidarity to Release the Five Cuban Heroes (L4C5).

The abuses by U.S. criminal authorities against five Cuban antiterrorist fighters were condemned today in this capital by the Lebanese Committee of Solidarity to Release the Five Cuban Heroes (L4C5).
The organization works to achieve the release of Gerardo Hernandez, Antonio Guerrero, Ramon Labañino and Fernando Gonzalez, who are currently serving harsh prison sentences for informing the Cuban government on the activities by terrorist groups in the United States.
Rene Gonzalez completed his prison term, but is forced to remain under supervised release in U.S. territory, whose physical integrity is at risk.
We express our great anger for the lockup during 21 days of Ramon Labañino, handcuffed in maximum confinement cells at low temperatures and without the authorization so that his lawyer can visit him, states the note, circulated today by the media.
The L4C5, composed of Lebanese from all social strata and Palestinians who were imprisoned in Israeli jails, urges world public opinion to express solidarity with Labañino, and send letters to U.S. President Barack Obama, so he orders the immediate release of the Cuban Five , as they are known in their country.
The trial against the Cuban Five has been described as unfair and arbitrary by several personalities, including many Nobel Peace prizewinners and the United Nations.
