Cuban-Chinese employees at Beijing Biotech Company have joined today's homage to five Cuban antiterrorist fighters on the 15th anniversary of their arrest in the United States, wearing yellow ribbons demanding they be allowed to return home.

Cubans at the Beijing Biotech Co. told Prensa Latina that they were joining the call made by Rene Gonzalez, one of the Cuban Five who was released after completing a 13-year sentence plus supervised parole, and called for their Chinese colleagues to join them in this campaign.

The Cuban team, composed of scientists, technicians, and specialized personnel at the biotech company, prepared a mural with a Chinese-language explanation about the case, internationally known as the case of the Cuban Five, attracting widespread attention.

On September 12, 1998, agents from the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation arrested Gerardo Hernandez, Rene Gonzalez, Ramon Labañino, Antonio Guerrero, and Fernando Gonzalez in Miami. The men were in Miami on a mission to gather information about the violent plans of anti-Cuban groups.

The date is being remembered with events worldwide, while in Cuba the campaign for the return of the four anti-terrorists remaining in prison is headed by Rene Gonzalez, who after 13 years of imprisonment was forced to renounce his U.S. citizenship in order to return to Cuba permanently.
