Kazakhstan and Cuba Strengthen Cooperation in Sports
A cooperation agreement between the Cuban Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER) and its counterpart in Kazakhstan was signed here today to strengthen exchange and cooperation between both countries.

A cooperation agreement between the Cuban Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER) and its counterpart in Kazakhstan was signed here today to strengthen exchange and cooperation between both countries.

The document, with 10 articles, was signed by the Kazakh president of the Agency of Sports and Physical Culture, Esentaev Tastanbek, and the Cuban ambassador in Kazakhstan Carlos Valdes, representing INDER.

Both parties expressed will to increase sports skills and promote participation of athletes, trainers and organizers of the sport movement in both countries in competitions.

They also agreed that national teams of different sports make joint training sessions and participate in competitions in both nations.

During a previous conversation, Tastanbek and Valdes agreed that sport is a priority in both states because is a social benefit and improves life quality.

They stressed that although both countries are geographically distant they have strong relations based on a historical friendship.

Last February officials from both nations signed in Havana a cooperation memorandum during the 9 International Congress University 2014.
