Azerbaijan's Minister of Health Ogtay Shiraliyev thanked on Saturday Cuba's medical brigade for its aid in this country and noted that the treatment methods of these doctors allowed positive results.
 
The statements of the health minister were made during a meeting with Cuba's ambassador Alfredo Nieves and Professor Dalsy Torres, head of the Cuban medical brigade that has been on a mission in Azerbaijan for a month.
 
Shiraliyev became interested in the Cuban medicines that are used to fight against the Covid-19 pandemic in its different stages.
 
Likewise, he highlighted the fraternal relations between the Azeri and Cuban specialists.
 
Meanwhile, the Cuban ambassador valued the potential to develop cooperation in the fields of medicine and biotechnology between both nations.
 
Likewise, Professor Torres explained that the joint work between the experts of both countries allowed the achievements experienced in the treatment of Covid-19 patients at the Number One Hospital of this city.
 
The head of the Cuban medical brigade, at the request of the Azerbaijani counterpart, explained the production of national drugs that are used in the Covid-19 treatment protocol.
