New website was launched in Hanoi on the anniversary of the Cuban Revolution

The capital's branch of the Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Association officially launched its website, in what it considered a sincere action to commemorate the 64th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution.

The brand-new site, with versions in Vietnamese and Spanish, is the first one specifically dedicated to the historic and special brotherhood relations existing between the two countries, established more than six decades ago and considered an invaluable asset to preserve, protect, cultivate and transmit to new generations.

Expressing his gratitude for the gesture, Cuban Ambassador Orlando Hernández said that in a difficult year such as 2022 as a result of the tightening of the U.S. blockade, the aftermath of Covid-19, and some tragic events in the country, "we note the unwavering support, sympathy, and solidarity of Vietnam".

The head of Cuba's state mission in this Indochinese nation said that the new portal will be a great support and very useful to publicize everything related to the close friendship that unites the two countries, founded and cultivated by President Ho Chi Minh and the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro.

He also noted that the site will undoubtedly reflect each of the many activities to be held to commemorate, in September 2023, the 50th anniversary of the first visit of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro to Vietnam.
