Cuban Painter Michel Mirabal Donates Work of Art to ICAO in Montreal

A work of art donated by painter Michel Mirabal, which includes elements of the Cuban flag, is now part of the collection of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), in Montreal.
 
ICAO Secretary General, Fang Liu, the President of the Council, Olumuyiwa Benard Aliu, as well as representatives from several state members of the international organization, attended today the unveiling ceremony.
 
Cuban ambassador to Canada, Julio Garmendia Peña, leading a broad diplomatic and consular representation of the Caribbean island, was also present at the ceremony.
 
Cuban representative at ICAO, Mirta Crespo, stressed the importance of the building that houses the headquarters of this international entity in Montreal.
 
A Graduate from the School of Design, Michel Mirabal studied at the San Alejandro Academy of Art and his work has been exhibited in different galleries in Cuba and abroad for more than 20 years.
